The Chelsea Youth Choir's first rehearsals for this year are TODAY! I'm looking forward to meeting new singers, and catching up with our returning singers. What a beautiful day for singing!

Our 2015/2016 Season Planning

The CYC and The Morel Singers are on break for the summer months, and our Board and Music Director are hard at work on all the behind-the-scenes activity that goes into planning our choir year. Repertoire is being chosen, concerts are being planned, and our Music Director Stephanie Sewell is heading off to the States this week for further professional development.

We would like to announce that Chelsea Youth Choir rehearsals have moved to Wednesdays for this year. The Morel Singers' rehearsals remain on Mondays, though they will start slightly later this year.

Folksong FIESTA Folklorique

Please join the CYC and The Morel Singers for our spring concert. We will share our African songs with you, and many, many more!

And, as always, you'll have the chance to join us in song.

All are welcome - our concerts are about an hour long with lots of variety. Even the smallest children will enjoy themselves!

Admission is by donation.

Stephanie has this amazing ability to make the choir such a community -- there is no one lead singer or announcer -- but there is plenty of opportunity for those extroverted performers among them to feel that they have their moment in the limelight! I've heard multiple other parents talk with amazement about how their normally shy kids have just burst out of their shells through CYC 'What, my kid asked for a solo?!' Stephanie is truly gifted at making the choir work for each and every member, despite their differing needs, and makes these kids feel loved, connected, seen and heard.
