Chelsea Youth Choir 2022/2023!

Welcome to our 12th season of singing together!

Choir details

What: Chelsea Youth Choir! We are a bilingual, all-inclusive, non-audition choir in the beautiful town of Chelsea, QC with singers from many areas!

Who: The CYC team is Founder and Musical Director Stephanie Sewell and Vocal Coach and Piano Accompanist Rosalind Pickett.

Where: We will be rehearsing at La Fab sur Mill, 8 rue Mill, Chelsea, QC

When: Wednesdays

Junior Choir meets from 4:00pm-5:00pm. This is for 6-9 year olds (generally grades 1-3).

Senior Choir meets from 5:15-6:15. This is for 9+ year olds.

We are a music loving family, but only our kids have a real ear for it. Our eldest also thrives to be in a spotlight, in a way that her introverted parents can't relate to. Stephanie has this amazing ability to make the choir such a community -- there is no one lead singer or announcer -- but there is plenty of opportunity for those extroverted performers among them to feel that they have their moment in the limelight! I've heard multiple other parents talk with amazement about how their normally shy kids have just burst out of their shells through CYC 'What, my kid asked for a solo?!' Stephanie is truly gifted at making the choir work for each and every member, despite their differing needs, and makes these kids feel loved, connected, seen and heard.
